Sustainable and Attainable: “Living Landscapes, Why you should plant native plants”
Native vs. Non Native? What does that mean and why does it atter. Liz Yetter, Regional Specialist with State of Indiana Cooperative Invasives Management, will define native verses invasive plants then highlight why we need these living landscapes as they relate to birds and pollinators. Liz will introduce you to the common landscaping invasives you may unknowingly have on your property. Learn to identify Honeysuckle, burning bush, miscanthus, pear, barberry and more!.
Sustainable & Attainable Registration - May 2022
Cope Environmental Center is pleased to offer Sustainable & Attainable events in a year-long series. The goal of the Sustainable & Attainable program is to provide interesting guest speaker presentations to impact, involve, and educate our community.
Our Sustainable & Attainable events take place in our Sustainability Education Center. Refreshments will be available at 6:00PM-6:30PM, followed directly after by the presentation from our guest speakers. These presentations will last 45-60 minutes with an extra 15 minutes for a Q&A session.
